Using Black is against my rules- Now I'm always telling my art students are no rules or cheats in art. But eventually we all set our own boundaries. I don't use black because its muddy and dirties the whole painting, I usually mix burnt sienna, phthalo green/blue, prussian blue and a red. But here Black was justified, although the layers included prussian blue and brown, just for richness.
Stars are the greatest things.
