Easter Sunday.

, we went to roll our painted eggies at Balnacra, the site of our old House.
The girls wanted to go back there. strange after nearly 6 years.

Its always hard after all the bad stuff thats happened since then. Everything has really over grown, but sadly the sheep are getting in otherwise it would be a nice mini wood, tho the actual house is all gone theres all these childrens artifacts in the garden.

But it was great to play again in our woods, even tho they too have been trashed by the hurricanes of the last two years.

and then we were tiny unrecognisable specs in the backround of the time team, which was nice.

Did you actually roll eggs in the wood? You really should, you know.

Who's the 'Big G'? Do you think he might want to be friends with me? I'm so terribly lonely.

i think he's the beardy bloke that jessie custer was mad at. he doesnt seem too friendly Ed, prone to petty moods & beligerant strops, best stick with us lot.

I could be friends with Godzilla, but I don't know if he/she would be friends with me.

cos he's one of those obbsessive wierd eaters who saves the best bits til last & has a big ragey strop when a sibling or parent says "ooo don't you want your humans ? i'll eat them ..chomp "

don't play with yer fecking food lizard face ! just eat it !

Ed said...

When you say 'saves', do you in fact mean 'stomps in mushy bits before frying what's left with his firey atmoic breath'?

Unless it's Godzilla vs. Hedorah, of course.

I be Gamera would be friends with me - he was always a bit of a pussy...

I always had you marked down as a Jet Jaguar man, Ed.

Ed said...

NO-ONE's a Jet Jaguar man, fool - not even Ultraman rip-off Jet Jaguar!

Not Gigan though. He had taste.

Mechagodzilla is great.

Ed said...

Mechagodzilla hadn't even been invented by that film!

You have no frame of reference here, Richy. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know...

whilst i think its great, & appropriate that we've left religious narks and gone on to monster films, i am somewhat sad, that not only have i no frame of reference i havent a bloody clue wat your on about..

mecha-ninja-jet-pumas ? what ? who ?

at least with pagan idolatry i know where i am, pat mills told me all about it.

Ed said...

Shhh...you'll get Rich angy...you know he and Mills had a 'falling out'...

...and you wouldn't like him when he's angry!

Though any sane person wouldn't like him anyway.

Godzilla vs Princess Diana was my favourite.

It wasn't really a crossover with Mothra, as Mothra didn't exist prior to that film, though he did later get his own series (whereas, say, Radon started off in his own film and then got co-opted into the Godzilla franchise). The following films were part of the same original Showa series though, but I don't think Godzilla jigged until Kaijû Daisenso in 1965 (directed by original Gojira director and co-writer Ishiro Honda). And of course he only flew the once, but that was in Gojira tai Hedorah, and we don't talk about that...

Why didn't you lend me Biolante?! You #know I'm in desperate need of giant monster films...

And the only reason you know of the IMAX film is because I read you the plot down the phone. And it was probably the greatest time of my young life. Something to tell the grandkids about. Well, someone's grandkids, anyway.

"Re-assembling itself in New York, the Monster-Deathla grows huge by sucking up the garbage at the NY garbage station. It buries Godzilla in sludge in the Central Park reservoir, then oozes down Broadway, heading toward the monument of 9.11. Strengthened by children's prayers, Godzilla resurrects herself. She stands between the dirty monster and the monument. Godzilla jumps up in the air to hit the monster with her Ultra Spin Tail Punch and slices it with her tail chops. The fight is over now. Though weakened, Nature now has a chance to recover its life-sustaining green powers. Godzilla flies back to the jungle as if it is enjoying this victory tour"

If Bryan 'Stingy' McStinge ever pulls his finger out and sends me some more filums, I'll send you some of his old kaiju flicks - I wasn't going to send them back to him anyway.
